Turner Prize Drawing Sessions – Run by Marc Renshaw for the Top Draw and Picture Box Art Groups.

Top Draw is an artists’ collective based in their current studio at Cromwell Road Day Centre. Formed in 2009, the group specialise in drawing and use a variety of media. The main aim of the group is to focus on individual strengths, interests, spending social time together and most importantly to have fun.

The Top Draw team facilitated the 2015 Big Draw again this year. A highly detailed corridor drawing made by an individual over five years was the inspiration for our take on the theme - 'Every Drawing Tells a Story.'

Our team would like to thank all the hard work produced by individuals and staff based at Cromwell Road Health and Well Being Centre, The Bert Boyden Centre and The Curzon Centre along with other external community groups. Well done to all!

The Top Draw team were the lead in this years annual Big Draw month. 
Our project focused on the theme of 'It's Our World.' 
In September 2014, a member of the Junk Art Group (Lee) presented the Top Draw Group with a carrier bag containing materials he'd collected from home including newspapers, cardboard boxes and flyers. This is something Lee has done regularly over the years.

In early September 2013, the group visited Yorkshire Sculpture Park. 
Craig: 'We got to see all different artwork. I liked the Orta exhibition and enjoyed travelling in the countryside. It's good to get out to see professional artwork. It help us as a group to learn from the best.'

The Big Draw 2013 is well under way with just under two weeks until it closes. 

This year the Top Draw and Picture Box groups have combined to run this years event. The theme this year is 'Draw Tomorrow.' 

We are currently using found materials to make a fictional cityscape of a futuristic Grimsby. 

We are inviting the public to come to Cafe 4 supported by Care4all to add to the city. We are also making a 'Wall of Dreams' where people can draw and write down their future hopes - imaginary or rea...

The sixth Artworks4all exhibition took place in April 2013. The show received lots of very positive feedback including one visitor who said that it was 'The best exhibition I've seen in Grimsby for years.'

There were over 300 works exhibited both individual and collaborative.

In a preview to Artworks4all – an art exhibition celebrating the creative talents of people with disabilities in North East Lincolnshire - the Top Draw Collective is currently showing a series of work on the sea theme.

The Groups show is part of the ‘All at Sea Festival of Arts and Literature’ in North East Lincolnshire Libraries.
